Carioca Languages is the ideal Portuguese language school for you! Our students learn how to converse in Portuguese in a fast, effective, dynamic and fun way!

Our teachers are experienced and highly skilled university graduates, with degrees in Portuguese Language. We are a dynamic program that believes that culture is also an important and fun aspect of language! We are well-versed in Brazilian traditions, as well as up-to-date with the latest Carioca trends and activities! We seek, therefore, not only to teach our students to speak the language, but also to insert our students into the rich cultural life of Rio our Cidade Maravilhosa!

We take great care to offer high quality learning materials that meet the needs of the student. Our teaching materials and workbooks were developed by Professor Viviane Moraes (MA, PhD) after years of experience in teaching of Portuguese to students of all levels. Her objetive was to create curriculums based in essential grammar and conversation, with a focus on preparing students for real life situations in day-to-day activities. This way, students can practice the language the most effective and natural way– through their daily life.

Our goal is to ensure that our students can feel confident in using both formal and informal Portuguese after just one course of lessons.
