Swiss Hotel Management School.
Housed in historical former Swiss Palace hotels, Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS) is focused on “Learning By Doing,” offering a world-class hotel management education based on the heritage of Swiss hospitality traditions. With an emphasis on applied Swiss hospitality expertise combined with international management competencies, SHMS programmes reflect the diversity of the service sector and are designed to meet the needs of the industry setting standards for the 21st century.
Operational facilities such as lavish banqueting halls, a grand theatre, fully equipped wet and dry spas and multiple restaurants, enable students to gain a fully encompassing hospitality operations education.
Campus Life.
The historic Caux Palace campus overlooks the Swiss Riviera in a beautiful former palace hotel. The Leysin campus is housed in two former hotels in the stunning Swiss Alps. Both campuses offer modern facilities and a learning environment equipped with the latest technology.
Caux campus is the base for all first- and second-year Bachelor students, as well as Master of International Business in Hotel Management students. Set in the hills overlooking Lake Geneva, it is a short train ride from the city of Montreux with its shops, restaurants and cosmopolitan lifestyle.
All third-year Bachelor as well as some Master students reside in Leysin, a well-known mountain resort. Leysin offers students a wide range of recreational and sporting activities.
Academic Excellence.
The Bachelor’s degree, Master of International Business in Hotel Management and Master of Science programmes are awarded by the University of Derby, a leading UK University in the fields of tourism and hospitality. The hotel management courses have also been developed with the support of leading hospitality companies like Six Senses Hotels & Resorts and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
Swiss Hotel Management School has been awarded the prestigious “Apple Distinguished School” recognition, which is granted to centres of educational excellence that demonstrate innovative use of technology to support learning goals.
