Summer and Winter Courses - Venice
Gathering visions and original ideas around a specific theme, the Biennale of Venice act as a sort of mirror to look at the contemporaneity in a very original way, both for art and for architectural aspects.
“Freespace” is the title chosen by Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara for the 16th International Architecture Exhibition, but it is also a word to describe the “sense of humanity located at the core of architecture, looking at the essential quality of space and at its embodied power and beauty”.
Starting from this statement, the course proposed by IED Venezia explores the relation between space and art, looked from different points of view and prospective, through specific visits and meetings.
Aim of the training path is to provide students with knowledges and tools useful to understand the way in which architecture can successfully dialogue with nature and human artistic expressions.Start Date
