Design in Children’s Products and Spaces Intensive
The Intensive MA in Children’s Design, Space and Product allows students to work on the basis of design strategy and conceptualisation to establish the narrative of the story and the presentation of the project, dealing with issues such as sound versus noise, the redefinition of the public and private space, communication and learning, play in public spaces and citizen initiatives, always taking into account the vision and needs of children.
The space occupied by children is not only the realm of games, but a much more complex place where small histories are built, forging character. The furniture and habitable elements continue over time and grow along with their small users, open to their imagination, to be reconfigured and reused, until they find their natural position in the contemporary space. The sensations, sounds, perception of colours and shapes, scents, textures, etc. form the conceptual basis of the creative development of students.
