    Além dos cursos técnico-instrumentais, a Moda Curso de Mestrado de Design inclui temas culturais que ressaltam aspectos históricos e sociológicos necessários para projetar e desenvolver um projeto de moda.

    A fim de permitir a cada aluno conhecimentos específicos para que possam enfrentar um plano de coleta de informações com as ferramentas adequadas, cada projeto (moda feminina moda masculina, e malhas) foi dividido em segmentos essenciais e segmentos complementares: a partir do conhecimento dos materiais e técnicas de modelagem e alfaiataria até para o estudo analítico das tendências que - uma vez identificados e seleccionados - será útil para criar coleções originais em termos de imagem que são capazes de comunicar a identidade estilística da designer.

The Master course in Fashion Design aims at training “explorers” of fashion trends, creative professionals able to combine theoretical knowledge, innovative ideas, and ability to experiment, in order to design a highly identity contemporary style.

New generations of fashion designers necessitate the ability to recognize and analyze contemporary trends in order to re-interpret them as original narratives, trying to balance an unmistakable individual creativity with consistency to fashion concept expressed by the world and market. Equally important is being able to combine these elements with a solid understanding of the design and visual culture in the world of fashion.

Target: The master is aimed at graduates in Fashion Design or designers working in the field that feel the need to develop and/or update their knowhow using contemporary approaches in research and design. Knowledge of the techniques of Fashion Design are essential to gain access to the course (basic software fluency: Photoshop and Illustrator, drawing techniques, and tailoring...)

Methodology and structure:

Through a modular training program, the participants of the Master in Fashion Design will tackle, in particular, topics designed to align and implement incoming basic skills.

In parallel to the technological and practical type, participants will be involved in cultural studies that highlight the historical and sociological aspects necessary to the development of a fashion project.

The entire course will engage the development of managerial capacities: predisposition to teamwork, interpersonal skills and collaboration with various sectors and companies of production of textiles and clothing

Contents:

The core of the Master is represented by the creation of projects dedicated to specific product areas with strong student involvement in the design and creative development. The creation areas will be contingent to participants’ personal inspiration or will follow specific requests from companies involved in the program.

Characterization of the Master is the involvement of professional Fashion Designer as mentor for the vertical projects. The workshops will follow the themes of the brief and will work as open laboratories where professors are reference design tutor involved through the way.

The entire pathway touches from concept and vision, to research, sketching, colors, materials, assessment of economic feasibility, prototypes realization, up to the presentation and the collection narration.

FASHION CULTURE

The course tells about contemporary fashion through ideas, thoughts and works of the icons who influenced the history of modern costume, and those “new” names who are going to write the future of fashion. Furthermore, it would be very remarkable by gained a strong sense of image, being able to create links between different contexts and sources of inspirations.

FASHION SOCIOLOGY AND TRENDS

We are in a continuous evolution but towards where are we moving, how are we doing it, and which are the tools used - or will be used in the next future - is known by few. By studying social phenomena and processes, it is possible to work it out anticipating actions and analyzing how they are applied in the fashion world; discover what different future scenarios changes will transform the relationship between people and products, focusing on the most sensitive areas capable of reaching the largest number of accession.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

The course proposes an updated on contemporary methodology for an integrated development process of a creative product and leads to the adoption of results to a valid Design concept.

THE BUSINESS OF FASHION

The two-party of creativity and management considerations, pilot fashion Business. This course introduces a merchandise related and commercial oriented approach in a collection development process

GRAFIC LAB

The aim of the course is to make students improve a range of expertise and working methods that will enable them to work smoothly while increasing productivity.

The focus is clearly defined by the gender peculiarities that will be respected while visioning and developing an apparel that corresponds to the brief.

Bespoke

Bespoke is an important contemporary theme that will be faced with a balance between design and tailoring and a contemporary research guided by an expert of handcraft tailoring methods.

Thematic workshop on contemporary designer brand

The fourth workshop of our edition in 2016 will be dedicated to a contemporary necessity of a Brand Designer that submits to the student a challenging brief for the ideation, planning, creation and presentation of a Fashion collection.
