Summer and Winter courses - Milan
This course introduces the multifaceted industry that is fashion design.
Students will cover a wide range of subjects such as fashion history, trend research and techniques while developing skills such as drawing, patternmaking and tailoring techniques in order to complete a garment as their final course project

Level and Pre"requisites: Introductory course; no previous studies within the field are required. Skills such as basic visual communication such as computer graphics, and basic photography are useful. Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the major themes that will be presented:

Demonstrate mastery of theoretical and practical knowledge of fashion design through the collaborative group project; Identify and discuss current trends and leaders in the Italian fashion industry; Employ the standard research methods, key concepts and tools necessary to develop a “collection project” based on the chosen “concept” and “target”; Demonstrate through drawings and designs competence in fashion drawing and tailoring lab techniques through the transformation of creative expression into a finished garment; Collaborate as part of a team international group of students in the formulation, realization and completion of the final project; Use the creative process in order to carry out specific project goals.
